Australasian Parks and Leisure
Australasian Parks and Leisure is the official Journal
of Parks and Leisure Australia and of the New Zealand
Recreation Association. Its Major function is to provide
a professional service to members of the two organisations
and to provide opportunities for the dissemination of
information on ideas in the field of parks and leisure.
This covers outdoor recreation in urban and rural environments,
sport, the arts, entertainment, play and tourism and encompasses
the public, private/commercial and non-profit or voluntary
sectors.
The journal includes a wide range of material, including:
general professional articles; notes; announcements; photographic
features; referred academic articles; and regular features,
including: book reviews, fact files, legal notes research
updates, internet resources and letters to the editor.
The journal is edited by two Co-Editors, advised by an
Editorial Committee appointed by PLA and NZRA. Special
issues are produced from time to time, edited by Guest
Editors, focussing on particular topics or sectors - the
Co-editors would welcome suggestions for special issues
at any time.
