Announcing PLA.nat. consulting

PLA is establishing a business arm which will focus on national projects which:
- Seek out funding for relevant research and development projects at a National level that are relevant to the future growth and development of the Parks and Leisure Industry.
- Position PLA.nat consulting with key National stakeholders to maximise opportunities for engagement in relevant projects and research at the National level
- Establish formal relationships with key Tertiary institutions across Australia for the purposes of working in co-operation on research related projects.
- Develops “world” leading edge technical and professional research in the Parks and Leisure industry.
The creation of PLA.nat consulting will enhance the capacity of the Parks and Leisure Industry in Australia to undertake “world class” research and development. It is not intended that PLA.nat consulting will compete for work at the State or local level but seek out consultancies at the National level with a particular focus on applied research and development of the Parks and Leisure Industry.
PLA.nat consulting will provide a professional development opportunity for members within the Parks and Leisure Industry to be called on to participate and potentially lead any research and development activities undertaken. Individual members within the Parks and Leisure industry that are members of PLA may also be co-opted if appropriate to work on projects related to their expertise.
PLA.nat consulting will operate under the guidance of a separate committee – endorsed and authorised by the PLA Board of directors - directly responsible for tangible outputs of the business.
